Lifeasible Updated Its Physical Purity Testing Service for Seed Testing
Lifeasible, a biotech company that specialized in agricultural science, recently updated its physical purity testing service for seed testing, with expanding capacities.
Physical purity testing refers to the analysis of the classification of seed batch composition. It is important to evaluate whether a given seed sample meets the specified purity standards; and whether it can truly represent the seed lot.
Ideally, the working sample should roughly contain at least 2500 seeds. The composition of the sample can be screened with the naked eye or using a hand-held magnifying lens, microscope, or semi-automatic checkpoint. Typically, the working sample is divided into four parts (pure seed, other crop seeds, weed seeds, and inert material) by hand, blower, or sieve; then the percentage of each ingredient is calculated by weight.
